Don’t say you miss me anymore
You don’t know the meaning
Oh you slipped out the back door.
You think I’ll take you back I won’t.
Yeah I’ll keep the memories keep your distance I let you go
‘Cause your love is on fire on mountain tops not down with me.
Your heart is so wild but never free
So wake me up the dream I had is over
We were so young and now were getting older
And I cant keep on giving you what might be meant for someone new
Wake me up the dream I had is over
All those love letters that we sent
They’re finally locked away, the revelry is a decadence
And all those goodbyes we never meant
Oh no this time I wont be welcoming a wasted breath
‘Cause your love is on fire on mountain tops not down with me
Your heart is so wild but never free
So wake me up the dream I had is over
We were so young and now were getting older
And I can’t keep on giving you what might be meant for someone new
Wake me up the dream I had is over
Ooh say goodbye say goodbye
Ooh say goodbye say goodbye
Let it die let it die
Ooh ooh
So wake me up the dream I had is over
We were so young and now were getting older
And I cant keep on giving you what might be meant for someone new
Wake me up the dream I had is over
-Lyrics by Johnny Swim
If there is one thing I love it’s good music. I appreciate a good musician. Being able to sing, compose lyrics and play an instrument is no easy task, and when you find someone who can carry these talents equally, you find a new found appreciation for them. What I love more than a good musician are great lyrics. I LOVE words. When good music is paired with great lyrics it is that much better for me. Some of my post are paired with lyrics. I like to pair my photography with lyrics. I do it because, one, I think it encourages people to look up the song. When they do that, I feel like it helps one appreciate the song that much more. It is different when you read lyrics and then hear it composed with the music it’s paired with. Another reason why I like to pair lyrics with my photography is because it brings more emotion to my photography. Just the way it does for music. Sometimes I will just use one portion of a song that stands out to me in order to bring emotion to my photography. This also cultivates curiosity in looking up the song. For this post I will be pairing lyrics with my Photo. I just wanted to give you guys a little insider as to why I do it. Hear are some lyrics by Johnny Swim a band I love. I encourage you to look them up, and listen. This song in particular.
